Nokia loses fifth Indonesian patent case (out of five) against OPPO: lawsuit declared inadmissible, fees imposed

In July, the Commercial Court of Central Jakarta (Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Pusat) dismissed four Nokia lawsuits targeting OPPO smartphones, on procedural grounds as Nokia stressed at the time. Three of the related appeals have meanwhile been rejected by Indonesia's Supreme Court, as I reported yesterday.

Now the lower court's website indicates the dismissal of a fifth Nokia case (click on the image to enlarge):

The case no. is 5/Pdt.Sus-HKI/Paten/2022/PN Niaga Jkt.Pst, and on January 16 the Commercial Court of Central Jakarta "declare[d] that the Plaintiff's lawsuit is inadmissible. Most of the decision is in Indonesian, but the declaration of inadmissibility is additionally stated in Dutch ("niet on vankelijke verklaard").

The costs of the proceeding were imposed on Nokia.
